Lancôme Ageless Minérale

On the way to my friend's graduation down in San Diego, I stopped by Carsbad Premium Outlet for some cheap shopping time. I walked endlessly around the mail and could not find anything pretty nor cheap that is worthy for its price!!! So i decided to leave, however, my friend stopped in front of Designer Fragrances store in suit 112A cuz she spotted some perfumes that she likes. I decided to follow her and give this dead mail another try. YAYAYYAA!!!

In there, I found my deal--the (Limited Edition) Lancôme Ageless Minérale for only 15 dollars (retail price: $65), but it only applies for the SABLE color--which is the darkness shade in the collection. My friend and I debated for the longest time whether we should get it or not and at last we DECIDED to because the brush itself is worth 35 DOLLARS or more and the Ageless Minerale White Sapphire Complex is about 40 bucks solely. With such dark shades, those lose powders can be use as blushes and BRONZER!!!!! Luckily, the sable lose powders match my skin tone and I AM in love with ther brush--it's soft and smooth!!!!!! If i get a chance to go back, i WILL BUY ALL of their 15-dollar dEAL!!! IT IS SOOO WORTH YOUR MONEy!!! JUST GET IT FOR THE BRUSH!!!!

I looked around for reviews on this items got really REVIEW with the lowest rating of 4.5/5 !!! I think u guys should just go and get the 15 dollar deals just for the brush and the sapphire complex!!!! and you can buy your own colors separately or later on!!!! ***HIGH RECOMMENDED by JENNIE***

Finally! it's SUMMER

This entry is dedicated to my lovely friend, Christine Tran
Summer is HERE! and we all need something that is wearable, comfortable, and still trendy RIGHT??? Our goal is to attract those men right? ROMPER is your answer and they are still in-style for SUMMER 2010. So today i went shopping with Christine and she was looking for a romper, but we couldn't find any "GOOD" ones. All of them are either ugly, too colorful, too loose, or puffy on her. Rompers are HOT if only they fit your curves correctly. If you have short and wide legs, AVOID these at all cost. Also, if the romper is too lose on you, DONT buy them cuz it will make you chubby at certain angles.

How They Wear: Blazers

Finding the perfect piece of outerwear for cool spring days and breezy summer nights is often a source of great frustration (for us, anyway). While it’s fine to choose a classic option, like a trench or cardigan, our favorite solution is the blazer. We’re not talking about the super-snug, Balenciaga-style, shrunken blazers from last season, but rather a longer looser shape. The new tuxedo styles (per Keira and Irina above) are one lovely possibility, but we’re also enamored with the oversized versions we’ve seen lately on Lake Bell and Ashley Olsen.

There is an unbelievable selection of blazers in stores now, but before we tick off our favorites, let’s address how the above ladies are wearing them. I bought my blazer at GOODWILL for 10 bucks. You guys should go there and check out their blazers!!!!

Here are some pictures of celebrities wearing blazers!!!!

From Good to Bad Grades

These are some of the dresses from the 2010 Grammy. Some were very impressive, while other were so disappointing. To be honest, Britney just BOMBED her image as a POP singer AGAIN!!!!! Her dress or piece of see-thru cloth was wayyyyyy beyond UGLY to describe!!! Scroll down to the "F" section to view her outfit for the Grammy. I somewhat liked Lady Gaga ...but she looked too PLASTIC with the heals and fake hair for the Grammy, therefore, i gave her a "C" instead.

ENJOY...my Grading SYSTEM

Grade A: Cute dresses and fits their bodies

Grade B: Cute dress but doesn't fit their bodies or styles

Grade C: Average

Grade D: You need to Try harder

Grade F: Failed...BADLY *especially Britney Spears*

Miraculously Big

Before performing on stage, I hurried to the nearby mall for the NEW! Victoria's Secret Miraculous Bra!!!! Is all the hype about the bra is true? Can this bra double your cup size?? Imagine the Miracle bra on steroids. A combination of Diaplex memory foam, fiber fill and marshmallow foam make up the uber-padding that's designed to lift, squeeze and amplify your assets -- and instantly double your cup size. Built-in convertible straps make it strapless, backless and halter-friendly. The beauty of the Miraculous? It gives you all the va-va-voom of being buxom, without the terminal backache. This all seems too good to be true right ladies??? So i went there and tested it for myself. As a result, I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Though it's kinda pricy at 52USD with tax and everything, the VS Miraculous BRa is so worth it!!! I went from a double A to a full B or even C-. 6 hours of those hard labor at the stupid chinese restaurant is now PAID off.......... You guys should go there and try it out :]

Socks and Sandals???

Hate it?? or Love it??

Ok, I noticed this one floating around out there early this fall and the time has come for somebody to say something – what’s the deal with wearing socks with our summer heels? At first I thought it was just J Crew trying to make socks sexy or cute or something that will make us want to buy them, but I just finished reading the new issue of Glamour and they had a photo spread where nearly half the pics showed the model with thick strappy sandals or peep-toes + socks.
Admittedly, these were nice, colorful socks – not your gym variety – but still, I’m torn about whether this is OK.

On the one hand, anything that gives me a chance to wear my pretty summer shoe collection more than just a measly 3 months out of the year is a good thing in my book (hey, those things cost money!). And I have to admit, I’ve been a sock fan for a while now but rarely have a chance to wear anything more exciting than the white tennis-shoe variety. So it seems like two rights should make a right, right? (OK, that was confusing.) Plus, on the models, I can’t help but find the look kind of cute in a funky sort of way, so why not give it a try? Warm toes plus cute shoes is a total win!

But when I tried the look on in my bedroom I looked a lot more “5-year-old-who-dressed-herself” than “I-don’t-care-what-you-think-chic” and the BF thought I’d gone insane. So after consulting my mags once again, I realize that while it may look cute on the models, so does the other crazy stuff they have on – stuff that would make me look like I’d just broken out of a mental institution. There’s also the little fact that I live in NYC and socks are probably not going to be nearly enough toe coverage when it comes time for my morning sprint to the subway. And perhaps the greatest deterrent of all to me is that age old fashion rule that socks and sandals are mortal enemies – I know we’re supposed to be breaking the mold, but somehow it just seems blasphemous!
So what do you think?

Should I just go with the flow and rock those socks? Will you? Or will this catalog combo get me make me the laughing stock of NYC?

Review: Motives Cosmetics

This article is from: http://hellobeautiful.com/your-glam/review-motives-cosmetics/

Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger is a fairly new line that isn’t huge, but certainly should be. It’s not super pricey, and many cosmetics companies don’t understand that quality doesn’t have to be directly correlated with price. This, however, is not one of those companies.

The Pressed Eye Shadow ($12) feels literally like velvet. It picks up on a brush pretty easily, but I prefer to use my pinky finger to blend the colors. I tried on a bunch of different shades over the course of a week to get a feel for all of the colors. They aren’t super-heavy, so it’s probably not best as a stage makeup brand, but it works well for wearing to parties and the like. You can also blend the colors with a little water to get a heavier look. The Kohl Eyeliner ($14) goes on smoothly and also makes a good base for a liquid liner, if you plan to be out for hours on end and don’t want your makeup wearing out before you do.

I’m normally not a fan of powder foundation at ALL (it makes my face look dry and gross), but the Liquid Powder Foundation with SPF 15 ($24.95) went on smoothly and didn’t have a cakey finish. While I won’t wear it every day, it’s got great coverage for Saturday nights and times I’m on camera (High Definition is a bitch! Hmph.). Last Saturday I was headed to a party, so I thought it would be cute to layer their new gloss (coming soon on the site!) over the Rich Color Lipstick in Venetian Red ($14). I got a lot of compliments, and the boyfriend liked it, so when I woke up the next day still slightly tipsy and ready to wear a fun outfit for Sunday Funday (read: delicious breakfast and unlimited mimosas, amen), I wore it again for added oomph.

Lastly, I’ve been wearing the Pressed Blush in Runway ($13.50) for the past few days instead of my usual cheek stain. It hasn’t made a big difference, but that’s kind of the point, right? I wore it to a recent “Drinks With…” interview I did with Ginuwine this week, so when it’s up on TheUrbanDaily.com, I’ll be sure to post a video here so you can tell me if I look like a total clown or not.

I will post up Tutorials for the "Daily look" with Motives SOON!!

This is how I organize all of my rings~~~

Everyday Tips

5 Make Up Tips

1. Think about the lighting when you do your make up. Home lighting is often more revealing then club lighting.
2. Red lips are trendy in 2010 as being an-all-time-classic trendy.
3. Remember what the pros say: highlight either your eyes or your lips BUT NOT BOTH.
4. Match your make up with your outfit. Echo one of the colors on you LIPS or EYES.
5. Glitter is never wrong, especially in Special Events: 21st Birthday, Valentine, or Clubbing.

5 Hair Tips

1. Avoid last-second panic--decide on your hair style in advance. Google pictures (from the search box next to the banner) idols for inspiration.
2. Volume is a HOT new trend this year. Tease and then give it a good mussing up for the right look.
3. Long hair??? Get out those curling iron--curls are a classic party look.
4. Short hair??? Prepare for the party with a head band or a pretty hair accessory.
5. Don't let your do wilt. Use hair Product to keep it fresh and stable.

5 Styling Tips

1. Play with traditional looks. A classic dinner jacket or a little top hat can look fabulous with a white wife beater and skinny jeans.
2. Pretty UNDERWEAR makes you feel GOOD both inside and out.
3. Synch your outfit with your partner. Do it subtly with one tiny matching detail.
4. Poking holes and pouring drinks on your tights are classic destroyers. Keep a backup pair in the hideout of your purse.
5. Be darling. Punk your look with unique earrings and finger rings.

Seven Trends For This Winter

1. Polish Your Shoulder: One-shoulder dresses are so IN this winter--show some skin. Guys are attracted to this style because of the curiosity of what under the other side. *wink* This style is playful and forces the men to do some hide-and-go-seek hunt.

2. Patterns Emerge: Colorful patterns give you that elegant and sophisticated look of womanhood.

3. Power Belts: It works so EVERYONE is doing it.... Putting a belt on just a plain white top can give that you that don't-mess-with-me look. Style your long t-shirts, short dresses, and even blazers with belts, and you will look fine in sun :]

4. Simple Leather: Either fake or real leather, all of them are IN style this year. Go buy and reward yourself with a leather jacket!!!! It keeps you warm and in-style this winter.

5. Tufted Jackets: This is NOT my thing....but it works for women in the mid thirties and forties....

6. Gender Play: Borrow your bf baggy jeans and blazer and style it according to you. Blazers are so IN for both women and men. This look is formal, yet informal. Try it and tell me about it.

7. Striking Color: Don't be afraid of vivid colors!!! Instead of picking black or white for your dresses...try neon green, blue, or even ORANGE. You might stand out from the crowd.

Who Wears It Better?

Let's play a game of "Who Wears It Better?" Humans--and especially celebrities-- are individuals that had develop their own styles and DON'T want to be like others. However, celebrities sometimes run into others that wear their same outfit. How embarrassing!!!!

Left: Golden shoes that match her golden hair
and a cute necklace that compliments her dress.

Oh... This is such a hard choice. I love the
design, however, black is always cuter and
classy(er) in all situations. So definetely Left!

Right: The cute white shoes and the punkish dress
have a sharp contrast on her skin color. Love how she
re-designed the bottom half and make it so much sexier.

Left: Both celebrities have the same dress and similar
shoes, but Jessica pulled it off. Her body fits her dress
better. Also, her hair makes her and the dress expensive.

Left: This is so NOT Pink style at all and she
doesn't look elegant in this dress......

Left: Angie tied too many knots around her
waist..making the dress ugly and inexpensive.

None. I don't like this black and white layered
dress AT ALL. Make them look short and old.

Left: WTF....LINDSAY is too skin in here. I have
to say..the leg stocking make her look uglier........

Can't choose... Both of them pulled it of welll.

Same here...They both pulled it off pretty well.
Though i hate the color red, Beckham's wife knows
her color and style well. I personally can't pull of a red dress. lol

Left: her hair and the dress gives her that Angelic
vibe from heaven. The green dress elongates her body.

UGLY DRESS (PERIOD) I really hate THIS dress.

Left: The black stockings really killed the dress.

OH~ Both are really cute in it. Liked how Kristine matched
her nude-colored shoes according to her golden hair. And Heather
matched her black shoes with her black clutch in her hands.

No doubt LEFT. I loooovee her shoes. I don't like Fergie
in a green dresss. She tried to be young again.....no goood

Left: High Heals are always better in a dress than BOOTS.

Left: The Heals vs. Boots in dresses RULE. Also
Pink rocked the dress with her punkish short hair.
